The desire for flexibility sparks a
digital media talent solution
Meet Stefanie
Back in 2016, digital marketing expert Stefanie Beach was looking for a change.
After 12 years of working with some of the biggest brands and agencies, Stef wanted to break out of the confines of a standard 9-to-5 job to spend more time with her daughter. As a result, Stef took on freelance work while job-hunting for a full-time, partially remote role.
It wasn’t until she started speaking with agencies and brands about their business needs and open positions that she realized the solution was presenting itself to her. Advertisers needed her expertise, but many did not have the resources or flexible timeline to hire and onboard talent. This realization sparked the creation of SMB Media Consulting in 2018 to provide digital media talent solutions that seamlessly integrate within the businesses that need them. Put another way, Stef’s desire for work-life flexibility sparked a flexible talent solution.
When the pandemic hit in early 2020, Stef found opportunity within the hardship. The vision of work-life balance upon which SMB Media Consulting was built experienced its next growth phase as Stef employed subject matter experts desiring the same flexibility she did. She also captured the interest of agencies and brands that faced a new challenge: consumers shopping entirely online with next to no in-store foot traffic.
Since then, SMB Media Consulting’s team of always-on-hand, hands-on media experts has grown its service list to five times its original size in support of clients’ evolving needs. SMB’s client portfolio includes agencies, brands, and publishers such as Foreign Affairs, Elevate Nutrition, Bloomist, IBM Watson/The Weather Channel, Observer.com, The Home Depot, Apple, and many more.
