About Joe Zawadzki:  Joe is a serial entrepreneur, operator, and investor at the intersection of advertising and media, technology, data, and finance. He is credited for first ushering in the data-driven marketing era with the founding of [x+1] (acquired for $230m) and incubation of Right Media (acquired for $850m), inventing the demand side platform category with MediaMath, and now media supply chain optimization with FxM. As a prolific angel investor and General Partner of Aperiam, Joe supports the direction of the industry through early-stage investments. His past and current investments include MOAT (acquired for $850m), IAS (IPO), AppNexus (acquired for $1.6 billion), tvScientific, Kevel and Transmit.live. Joe serves on the Board of Directors of the IAB and MMA, and at the DMA through its acquisition by the ANA. He has an A.B. in English from Harvard University and a teaching fellow in cosmology, set theory and the history of science. He lives in New York City with his wife, Daria, and their children Dune and Jack, born on the summer and winter solstices respectively.
